What’s your frequency #1: You Are Energy; The Science Behind Your Vibe

This series is a loving nudge to help raise awareness about the energy we all bring into shared spaces, especially intimate ones. Because connection isn’t just physical — it’s vibrational. And showing up with awareness makes everything better for everyone.
I always clear the space each day and take full responsibility for the energy I bring. I do regular energy clearings, reflect, and intentionally work to heighten my vibration — because that matters in the kind of work I do. The lower your vibration, the heavier the energy you carry into an intimate space. And trust me, that weight doesn’t just stay with you — it fills the room, and sometimes it lingers; like glitter after a craft project — sparkly or sticky, depending on the vibe.
We’ve all said things like, “She has such good energy” or “The vibe felt off.” But have you ever wondered why we say that?
It turns out, this isn’t just poetic language or spiritual fluff. It’s grounded in science.
At the most basic level — underneath your skin, muscles, stories, and daily to-do list — you’re not a solid object. You’re energy.
From Skin to Subatomic: What You’re Really Made Of
If we zoom in on your body — past your organs, cells, and atoms — we reach subatomic particles like electrons, protons, and neutrons. And the deeper physicists look, the more they see…
Space. Movement. And vibration.
According to quantum physics, these particles don’t behave like tiny billiard balls. They act more like waves of potential, fields of probability — vibrating bundles of energy.
Even the famous Einstein equation E=mc² reminds us that matter and energy are essentially two forms of the same thing. Mass is just a form of energy, slowed down and concentrated.
So yes — you are energy. And your “vibe” is real.
The Frequency You’re Broadcasting
Everything that vibrates emits a frequency. Just like musical notes or radio signals, your body and emotions create waves.
HeartMath Institute research has shown that the heart produces an electromagnetic field detectable several feet away from the body.
This field changes based on your emotional state — coherence (like calm or love) creates smooth, stable patterns, while stress and anger create jagged, chaotic ones.
Other people can feel this, often without knowing why. That’s why some people feel soothing to be around, and others feel draining — even in silence.
And this isn’t just esoteric. In interpersonal neurobiology, we now know that humans are constantly co-regulating each other’s nervous systems. Your state affects the room. Not metaphorically — literally.
You Don’t Have to Be “High Vibe” All the Time
Let’s be clear — this isn’t about being perfect or positive 24/7.
Being human means riding emotional waves. But becoming aware of your energy is powerful. It means you can choose how you show up, and learn how to reset or recalibrate when needed.
So What’s the Takeaway?
You’re not just your thoughts, your job, your history, or your to-do list. You’re a dynamic, living energy field. And the vibe you carry speaks louder than words.
When you start paying attention to your own energy — how it rises, dips, and shifts — you begin living more intentionally. You connect more deeply. And you create safer, warmer spaces for others, too.
