What’s your frequency #2: Your Vibe Matters-How to Take Responsibility for the Energy You Bring

You’ve probably heard the phrase: “Leave your baggage at the door.”

But energy doesn’t work like that. You can’t always just drop it.

If you’re carrying tension, anxiety, resentment, or exhaustion — it walks in with you. Into the meeting room. Onto the massage table. Into bed with your partner. And people feel it, whether they can name it or not.

That’s why learning how to consciously shift your energy before you enter shared spaces is one of the most respectful, powerful things you can do — for yourself and for those around you.

This isn’t about faking positivity. It’s about self-responsibility and energetic hygiene. Just like brushing your teeth before getting close to someone, this is brushing your frequency.

Why This Matters More Than Ever

We live in a world where burnout, reactivity, and emotional overload are often normalised. Many people are already overstimulated.

So when someone shows up grounded, clear, and open — it’s not just refreshing, it’s disarming. It creates a ripple effect. It gives others permission to relax.

Whether you’re about to walk into a session, a family gathering, a date, or an intimate experience, your vibe becomes part of the dynamic. Taking a moment to reset is an act of care.

Practical Ways to Reset Your Energy

These aren’t long rituals or “woo” routines — just grounded tools you can use in a few minutes.

1. Breathe Like It Matters

You’ve heard this before. But here's why it works: Your breath is your nervous system’s remote control. Try this before walking in:

  • Inhale slowly for 4 counts

  • Hold for 2

  • Exhale gently for 6 Do 3–5 rounds. Let your shoulders drop. Let your jaw unclench. Let the breath do the work.

2. Ask Yourself: What Am I Bringing In?

Pause for just 10 seconds. Notice:

  • Am I tense? Distracted? Frustrated?

  • Am I trying to rush, fix, or control something?

  • Am I about to take this into the room with me?

You don’t need to solve it all — just name it. Awareness loosens its grip.

3. Choose Your Intentional Frequency

This isn’t about being fake or forcing good vibes. It’s simply asking:

“How do I want to feel as I enter this space?” Maybe it’s present. Open. Receptive. Kind. Curious. You can breathe that quality in for a few seconds. Let it settle in your chest or your belly.

4. Clean Your Field

If the energy feels sticky, try one of these:

  • Shake out your hands or legs.

  • Wash your hands with cool water and imagine it rinsing tension.

  • Step outside for 60 seconds and let the air shift your state.

Tiny resets. Big difference.

Final Thought: Energy Leaves a Trace

Even after you leave the room, your energy lingers. It’s the tone you set. The way you made others feel. The atmosphere you helped create.

Being intentional about your presence isn’t about being “perfect.” It’s about being available — for connection, clarity, and calm. And sometimes, that starts with just one conscious breath before you walk in.

Stay tuned for #3 in the What’s Your Frequency? series, where we’ll get into the how — simple but powerful ways to clear heavy energy and reset your vibe—so you can feel more grounded, uplifted, and less like a sponge soaking up the room.
